Interview at the Univ of Missouri-Columbia.
It was a pleasant experience and the medicine department staffs go the whole nine-yard to impress the candidates. The candidates are provided accommodation at the beautiful inn called stony creek. Acutally, the interview process starts the evening before the actual interview. There was casual get-together in the evening prior to the interview day. You get a chance to meet with the program directors, residents and get to know the program and the community. This sets the stage for the official meeting the next day. Unit provides transportation to the hospital. We were all placed in the nice residents lounge, which had a beautiful view of the university and the stadium. 3 faculty members and the chief resident interviewed us. It was one of the most relaxing interview processes I ever had. They put you in ease and ask you questions in non-threatening way to know about you. I understood later that it their way of knowing the person and to gauge to see if the candidate would be ideal for their program. They take you on a hospital tour during which they showcase neat kept hospital and friendly staff and many more.
Altogether it was a wonderful experience. I just feel bad that I didn’t get matched last year. But I will be there again this year.

University of missouri gives h1 visa .I know people who have got h 1 visa.But they are limited by funds.So they could only provide certain number of h1 vis every year.This program is very popular among the candidates from other countries ,apart from india.Many of whom are willing to take j 1 visa.Also with j1 visa,government provide training funds to the hospital.H1 visa,is obviously a costly affair.But ,they do want to retain good candidated.So ,if you credentials are good you have a good chance.

How do I get to columbia from St louis or kansas.
Best would be to drive from St louis or kansas.rent a car or there are airport shuttle .Moexpress is the company that provides the shuttle express .You could make a online reservation.
